Rasul Bath - Rasul – an oriental cleansing ritual
Rasul – Rasul Bath (also known as Rhassoul Bath) originates in the Orient. In harems, many hours were spent every day on bodily care. Care treatments evolved at this time, which to this day are still second to none. The décor should also have an oriental flair.
A Rasul always starts with the bather showering, drying and then finally rubbing his entire body with different mud treatments in a pleasantly heated Rasul room. After application and drying, the bather goes into a steam room, which has been prepared with selected traditional scented herbs.
The Rasul Bath initially has a temperature of approximately 38°C. The temperature then gradually rises to 50°C. Air humidity is continually increased until it reaches 80%. This gentle increase is kind on the circulation.
The very high air humidity transforms the consistency of what has now become dried mud to a creamy mass once again. The active substances then permeate down into the deeper layers of the skin. This is best aided with circular, massaging hand movements. With this intensive treatment the circulation of the skin is stimulated and the dead skin cells are removed. Afterwards, the mud treatment is washed away under the shower and the body is rubbed dry with a towel. Then the skin is gently rubbed with rich oils. This traditional Rasul Bath ceremony is ended with a long period of quiet and relaxation.
The skin is peeled and firmed during this care ceremony. The metabolism is stimulated, detoxication encouraged and the skin is noticeably refined. The calming and relaxing treatment is a true delight for body and soul.
